Since thousands of years herbal drinks have been consumed for medical reason.China is consider to be the origin of this. The first historical record appear in the earliest pharmacopeia, which is attribute to the Chinese emperor "Shennong" around 3000 BC.


So here i am sharing with you all my own modified recipe of special Herbal Green tea which will refresh you from hectic work schedule of your daily life.


There are several benefits of herbal tea. Knowing which benefits you may like to achieve- like soothing joint pain, sleeping better or overcoming sluggishness. One of the main reasons why it should be consumed is because it allows people to reap the health benefits of various herbs, spices and plant through a process which is easy to consume and digest.


Ingredients


Water- 1 cup

Black pepper- 1 pinch

Cardamom- 1 pinch

Mint- 15-20

Tulsi/Indian Basil leaves- 15-20

Lemon Juice- ½ tsp

Honey- 1 tsp

Garnish with black pepper- 1 pinch

 

How To Make ?


To make herbal green tea we will heat up a sauce pan. In a sauce pan we will add water.


Quantity of water depend upon the number of people, but here I am sharing this recipe according to the single person. So, you can increase the ingredient accordingly. When the water is heating up in high heat, we will also add 1 pinch of black pepper. In this I am using black pepper powder you can also use white pepper powder if you wish to, along with the black pepper powder I am also adding a pinch of cardamom powder. If you don’t have cardamom powder just crush it and add one.


Now, we going to bring this to a boil. Once a water come to a rapid boil, we will turn off the flame and then add the mint leaf at first. Use alteast 15 mint leaves and we are also going to add 15 tulsi leaves or Indian basil leaves.


Quickly give it a steer cover it and keep it aside for 2 min. After about 2 min or so we will serve it, before serve it add 1 lemon juice. You can use as much as per your preference and after this we will put it in glass.


Before serving sprinkle little bit of black pepper in it.


Note*- You can add 1 tea spoon of honey in it if you want or you can avoid it according to your taste

The first Tandoori chai was invented by 29 years old B.Sc. graduate Amol Dilip Rajdeo by the name " Chai LA The Tandoor Tea" in Pune.

At present they sell 20 variety of tea all made in tandoor like tandoori tea, tandoori coffee, turmeric milk etc. Today more than 13 states approach him for Chai LA in other cities and 10 other countries approach him to explore the avenues in abroad too.

"Life is like a cup of tea. It's all in how you make it."

Ingredients

Tandoori Tea

Kulhad/ Clay Bowl- 1

Water- ¼ Cup

Milk- 1 cup

Tea- 1 tsp

Sugar- 2 tsp

Ginger- ½ inch

Cardamom- 2 piece


How To Make?


To make tandoori tea we will first heat up a kulhad made of clay. you will find this kulhad in your nearest market. You have to heat it up in the direct flame and burn it until it gets black. If you have tandoor you can use tandoor also to burn it.The Charcoal flavor will be much nicer.


For tea part heat up the sauce pan, in this you have to add milk and water the quantity of water is 1/4 th cup and the quantity of milk is 1 cup.


Add both of them in and we will add 1 tsp of tea leaves, 2 tsp of sugar and you can also add half pinch of ginger, if you want to add Chai-masala you can totally add in that.


Now in medium to high flame we will make the chai by bringing it to a boil and after that lowering the flame and cooking it for 3 to 4 minutes.


Now for making the tandoori touch chai, place that clay tandoori kulhad inside a deep vessel. You can use another deep sauce pan for this.After this we will quickly pour the hot tea in highly black burned kulhad, that eruption formed in kulhad add charm to the tea.


Take out the chai from kulhad, now our tandoori chai is ready to serve, before serving we have to strain it.


It looks like any other tea but it taste like absolutely insane, the earthy flavor that we have in this chai thanks to the burned kulhad that we used is absolutely amazing in this.


Fun Fact


Amol Dilip Rajdeo was inspired from watching his grandmother who placed a kulhad of turmeric milk in the corner of a bonfire to heat it.

Drinking a hot ginger lemon and honey tea in the morning has become a very popular thing now a days. It is consider to be the best thing a person can start his day. Now though this let me share with you guys some interesting things related to this tea followed by ingredients used in it and how we can make this more efficiently.


Lemon juice contain 12-13 mg of Vitamin C. Vitamin C also known as ascorbic acid, is a water soluble vitamin and also claimed to be one of the most effective and safest nutrient.

Ascorbic acid helps to prevent scurvy, enhance the immune system to prevent the common cold,it lowers the hypertension, boost immunity etc.

Ingredients


Honey Lemon

Water- 1 cup

Ginger- 5-6 pieces

Tea Leaves- 1 tsp

Sugar- 1 tsp

Lemon Juice- 1

Honey- 2 tsp


How To Make ?


Heat up a sauce pan and in that add 1 cup of water, this is a water based tea so 1 cup of water and in that we will add half a tsp of tea leaves


Along with tea leaves also add half tsp of sugar adding sugar right now will bring great color to the chai and add 5-6 pieces of ginger in it. Now bring this to a boil in medium flame.


Decoction of tea will add will instantly activate your taste buds, now turn of the flame and add lemon juice in it, here in this we are adding 1 tsp of lemon juice. Adding lemon juice right now just brings a great flavor.


Before serving our ginger lemon and honey tea take your cup and then add the honey into it, in this we are using 1.5 tsp of honey. You can change this quantity of honey as much as you want.


Now strain your tea decoction, give it a mix and yesss your ginger lemon and honey tea is ready.


Absolutely Humble..... But Just As Fantastic !!
